Bhadra, a compassionate doctor is married to Chandran, a software engineer. Bhadra has a teenage spent in her father’s ancestral village where her poetic talents where encouraged by her classical music teacher Shastri who she also had a crush on. Bhadra still keeps a diary in which she writes romantic poems and passages which she is very protective about. Chandran finds the place where she hides her diary and reads them which leads to a misunderstanding between them. Chandran doubts Bhadra’s intentions and this brings a rift between them. Bhadra in hope of mending their relationship, suggests going on a trip with him. A song which describes the intense longing of a past love from the movie Mazha.

* The dark colored one, the lover and the lotus-eyed one, all refers to Lord Krishna.
++ The lyrics of the song indicates ‘viraham’, an expression of sadness from missing a loved one. The refrain says when the lady sees a raincloud she is reminded of Lord Krishna and it brings tears like a flowing river because she misses Him. The first and second stanza expresses how happy she had been in the past when she met Him, how His smile was like a comforting balm on her lovelorn heart and hopes she could meet Him again soon.
