Moham kondu njaan, doore aetho
eenam pootha naal, madhu thaedi poyi
[With a desire, I, somewhere afar
the day when a tune bloomed, went in search for nectar]
Moham kondu njaan, doore aetho
eenam pootha naal, madhu thaedi poyi
[With a desire, I, somewhere afar
the day when a tune bloomed, went in search for nectar]
Neele, thaazhe, thaliraarnnu poovanangal
[At length, down below, valley of flowers blossomed]
Moham kondu njaan, doore aetho
eenam pootha naal, madhu thaedi poyi
[With a desire, I, somewhere afar
the day when a tune bloomed, went in search for nectar]

Kannil katthum daaham, bhaavajaalam peeli neerthi*
Varnangalaal mele, kathir maala kaikal neetti
[The burning thirst in the eyes, gave rise to a cluster of expressions
With colors above, the string of clouds extended their arms]
Kannil kathum daaham bhaavajaalam peeli neerthi
Varnangalaal mele kathir maala kaikal neetti
[The burning thirst in the eyes, gave rise to a cluster of expressions
With colors above, the string of clouds extended their arms]
Swarna thaer aeri njaan, thankathinkal pole
Doore aakaasha nakshathra pookkal than thaerottam
[I boarded a golden chariot, like the golden moon
Far off in the sky, flower like stars race on chariots too]

Moham kondu njaan, doore aetho
eenam pootha naal, madhu thaedi poyi
[With a desire, I, somewhere afar
the day when a tune bloomed, went in search for nectar]

Mannil pookkum melam, raaga bhaavam, thaalam aenthi…
thumbikal aayi paari maanam thaedi ooyal aadi
[The joy which bloomed on the earth, the music and beats, raising these…
we become dragonflies, flying, swinging and searching for skies]
Mannil pookkum melam raaga bhaavam thaalam aenthi…
thumbikal aayi paari maanam thaedi ooyal aadi
[The joy which bloomed on the earth, the music and beats, raising these…
we become dragonflies, flying, swinging and searching for skies]
Narum punchiri poovaayi, swapna kanjukam charthi
Aarum kaanaathe ninnappol sangama saayoojyam
[Like a pure smiling flower, wearing a jacket of dreams
I stood unseen and felt merged(with the universe) and liberated]

Moham kondu njaan, doore aetho
eenam pootha naal, madhu thaedi poyi
[With a desire, I, somewhere afar
the day when a tune bloomed, went in search for nectar]

*Peeli neerthi literally means spread feathers – imagine expressions spreading on a face like peacocks spread their feathers.
